The Lake District Calvert Trust is a unique outdoor adventure centre dedicated to providing life-changing experiences for people with disabilities. Set in the heart of the stunning Lake District, the centre offers fully accessible accommodation and a wide range of adaptable adventurous activities, including climbing, canoeing, abseiling, ziplining, horse riding and swimming.
With expert instructors and specialist equipment, every experience is tailored to individual needs, building confidence, independence, and enjoyment in a safe and supportive environment. The Lake District Calvert Trust is a place where everyone can challenge themselves, have fun, and discover what they’re capable of.
The centre offers residential stays, and occasional day activities, for people with disabilities, their friends, families, colleagues and carers. Only one person in a booking needs to have a disability to visit Calvert Lakes. Stays range from 2-night weekend to 4- night midweek breaks, week-long and themed courses, that cater to individuals, families and groups alike.
Lake District Calvert Trust has offered accessible adventures for 50 years and shares a love of the great outdoors with visitors of all abilities. This very special place is open to locals and visitors for swimming in the on-site hydrotherapy pool and horse riding sessions at Calvert Stables.
Lake District Calvert Trust is our official name and the centre on Bassenthwaite is known as Calvert Lakes. The stables in Keswick are Calvert Stables. Does our membership allow for multiple listings? For example, our main centre is for residential stays, but the pool is bookable by anyone, as are horse riding sessions at the stables. I’m wondering how best to cover all this in different sections of your website?
Your enquiry will be sent directly to Lake District Calvert Trust. Please fill in as much detail as you can.
