Step into our galleries to learn about the geology, history, stories and people that have made their mark on this incredible landscape.

Entry price: All tickets include free return visits for 12 months. Free admission to shop, café and Community Gallery.

Art & Words around the Stones
* Event will take place at Castlerigg Stone Circle *
Budding poet or enjoy a bit of sketching? Then come along and join us on Sunday 5th July 2026 for a free workshop session of inspiration and creativity from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Castlerigg Stone Circle.
An English Heritage Volunteer Guide will inspire you with words & art from past visitors to this ancient & awesome site – bring your own pen & paper (and perhaps a snack and something to sit on) and spend some time with like-minded others creating your own personal record of your visit – maybe a poem or a picture – to share at the end of the session.
All ages welcome!
Please note: there are no toilet or refreshment facilities at the site.
