Bawd Hall is more than a cottage: it is a detached Lake District country house. Available for self-catering letting all the year round, facilities include:
* central heating;
* five bedrooms (one on ground floor);
* large lounge and garden room;
* large kitchen/dining room and utility room;
* four bathrooms (3 en-suite);
* lockable bike storage; table tennis;
* great views from all living and bedrooms
Located in the unspoilt Newlands valley in the heart of the Lake District, the property is beautifully set with great walks right out of the door. Inside, it is furnished to a very high standard and is very comfortable, even in the worst weather, with full central heating, excellent insulation, double glazing and an open fire.
A short drive (15 mins) takes you to Keswick with ample shopping and leisure facilities and nearby boating on Derwent Water. 10 minutes in the other direction takes you to the superb mountain and lake scenery of Buttermere.
If you just want to sit in the house, the garden room is ideal for observing wildlife. Red squirrels and stoats have been seen, together with a large variety of birds.
