Woodside B&B

Hannah and BJ (Bart-Jan) look forward to welcoming you to Woodside B&B. We offer bed and breakfast in our traditional Lakeland home and free parking at the back of the property. Originally built by the local mill owner, Woodside is a beautiful Victorian property.

Our 5 bedrooms offer everything you need for a comfortable stay. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and a comfy seating area where you can relax and read or watch TV after a day of exploring.

A delicious breakfast is served each morning in the lovely bright breakfast room, with a variety of choices available, including plenty of vegetarian options. We can also cater for other dietary requirements, please just let us know when booking. Wherever possible, we offer locally-sourced and home-made products.

With great opportunities for shopping, eating and drinking, as well as the world’s largest pencil (yes, really!), Keswick town centre is a 15-minute walk away along the railway path. You can spend your days on the fells or exploring our lovely market town of Keswick and stunning surrounding area. We love accommodating walkers and cyclists, and have a drying room for wet gear and secure, covered bike parking.

Ideally located with easy access from the M6 and the A1, we are near the A66 offering access to the north Lakes, Cockermouth and Wordsworth country, and right by the A591 which leads to the central Lakes, Windermere and Ambleside. The Cumbrian coast is not too far and we are close to some of the favourite fells in the Lakes, such as Catbells, Blencathra and Skiddaw.

We’re always happy to chat and make suggestions to help with planning what to do during your stay. We love to travel ourselves and want to make sure your visit to the Lakes is magical.

Location

Woodside B&B, Penrith Road, Keswick CA12 4LJ

We are situated in an easy to find location on the edge of Keswick—a relatively short walk from the town centre (1 mile). We have off-street private parking behind the house.

FROM THE M6
Turn off at Junction 40 (Penrith) and head west for Keswick on the A66. About 1 mile after passing the village of Threlkeld (about 13 miles from Penrith) look for a left turn (slip road) signposted Keswick / Windermere (A591), and take this exit from the A66. Just yards before the next t-junction turn right up the side of Woodside B&B and find the parking at the rear.

FROM AMBLESIDE & SOUTH LAKES
Simply follow the A591 into Keswick, turn right at the signpost for the A66, then immediately left (20 yards or so) up the side of Woodside B&B and find the parking at the rear.
