Midsummer in Keswick

Midsummer in Keswick is a special time of year. Historically May and June can be the driest months here and the days are super long with sunset at nearly 10pm and a day length of over 17 hours at midsummer with astronomical and nautical twilight lasting all night! Its a great time of year to relax and enjoy the parks and lakes. 

As part of its Midsummer Festival, Keswick has two free events happening in Fitz Park, perfect for days out for you and family or friends. Read on to find out about these fantastic summer events. 

Pop and Proms 

Saturday 24th June 

Pop and Proms is an annual favourite for visitors and locals alike. It is a day of free music in Fitz Park. Perfect to bring a picnic and blanket or chairs and have a relax with family or friends. Music will be from local cover bands, children's school choir, a professional soprano and a proms Grand Finale. 

There is also a pop up cocktail bar and food and drinks can also be bought from the local park cafe. 

All for free! 2pm-9pm. Fitz Park

Scruffs Dog Show

Sunday 25th June

Keswick Scruffs is a fun dog show organised by Keswick Town Council and Podgy Paws Pet Shop.

You can enter in advance at Podgy Paws or on the day and categories include Waggiest Tail, Best Trick and Most Appealing Eyebrows.

Entry is £3 per class in advance from Podgy Paws or on the day at the event. Entry to the show field is free so why not pop down with your family and see who wins the Dogathon or Smiliest Dog.

10am - 4pm. Fitz Park
