6 Ways To Keep Teenagers Entertained In Keswick

Whinlatter is a perfect day out for the whole family. It has three cycling trails if you feel like taking a bike out and there is also  Go Ape Whinlatter. They are currently building some new unique courses, which we are expecting to re-open in summer 2022. Go Ape is about creating adventures and encouraging everyone to live life adventurously, so you and your family should get out there and start adventuring, it's a great way to use up all the energy you've got within you!

The Puzzling Place is an eye-opening experience located just off Main Street. Here, the whole family can enjoy strange phenomena that will leave you stunned but will also provide an enjoyable adventure for you and your family. It is an absolute must visit if you find yourself with free time during your trip, and it is sure to keep your teenagers amazed with its interactive illusion exhibits, artwork and sculptures. Booking tickets before you arrive using the online booking system is strongly recommended. 

Another wonderful activity to do is to take a trip to Derwent Water Marina. You can hire canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and even pedalos! Hiring a boat is the perfect way to get out & explore Derwent Water, whether you fancy exploring the Islands or shoreline with your family there is something for everyone. You could even have a race to see who can row the fastest! Honister Slate Mine is a brilliant day out in Keswick. They produce some of the most thrilling, interesting and memorable adventures the Lake District has to offer. A hidden gem that should be visited while you are here is the Lake District Wildlife Park. There is plenty for you and others to do, you can meet over 100 species of animals. It's a great opportunity to meet some species you might never see again! (More information on the link above). You can try out a personal animal encounter which allows you to meet the meerkats and more, or you can enjoy a keeper experience with the Tapirs, Meerkats and Lemurs. There are picnic sites and a café ready for you to enjoy your food at. One of Keswick's main attractions, Hope Park has beautiful landscaped gardens and a woodland walk guided by a gentle stream, surrounded by the magnificent scenery. The family fun doesn't stop there as you can also enjoy multiple games of the popular 18 hole crazy golf or you can enjoy the bigger 9 hole pitch and putt, you get given a scoresheet for all of these, so why don't you see who the best golfer in the family is? Café Hope will provide you with refreshing food and drink while you relax either indoors or outdoors.
