Battle Of The Bar Meals At Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa

After 2 full weeks of outdoor dining and what seems like 2 full weeks of unbroken sunshine, guests returning to the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa have made the most of the sunshine where they have enjoyed a range of popular bar meals and light bites al fresco.

When it comes to the most popular dishes, standing in at first place and towering high is ‘The Mighty Burger’ made up of 2 locally sourced beef patties, mature Lakeland cheddar, back bacon, garlic mayonnaise, panko onion rings plus more, all nicely accompanied by a portion of chunky chips. The runner up claiming the silver medal is ironically the hotel’s ‘Cider Battered Fish & Chips’ where fresh haddock is served in a beautiful, crispy and golden batter. This British staple is served alongside a portion of minty mushy peas, tartar sauce and comes with a wedge of lemon.

As well as these two popular dishes, the outdoor dining menu also includes additional dishes such as a vegan Fried ‘Not Chicken’ Burger, 8OZ Ribeye Steak, Loaded Chips, Sourdough Pizzas, Charcuterie Boards plus more. All dishes are available every day on the outdoor terraces where you can admire views across Skiddaw, Catbells and the hotel’s own landscaped gardens.

Marcell Cilliers, Deputy General Manager of the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa informs us that “there is an excellent atmosphere among the hotel staff who were all eager to get back to work again after the prolonged break and have enjoyed welcoming back so many familiar faces, with some visiting a few times a week.”
