Covid 19 Update

Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for your continued support and patience during these challenging times. We are looking forward to coming back stronger, and once again serving our local community and welcoming visitors back to the town for the remainder of 2020 and years to come.

As lockdown measures ease further on Saturday 4 July, and we welcome visitors back to Keswick, we find ourselves looking at how we safely go forward in 2020. The company’s primary focus remains the health and safety of our passengers and drivers.

Going forward, the following safety measures will be implemented when customers book a taxi.
Your co-operation and understanding would be greatly appreciated:

Symptoms
If you have a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste please DO NOT try and book a taxi with our company.

Hygiene Measures
We have implemented rigorous cleaning regimes throughout the company. All our vehicles are regularly sanitized, with special attention taken to clean door handles, seat belt holders and handrails with anti-viral products in between passengers.

Following government guidelines, our drivers have established a consistent hand washing/sanitizing routine and we would please ask that passengers also sanitize their hands before and after travelling in our vehicles.

Social Distancing
Acknowledging the difficulties of social distancing in the confined space of a vehicle. We will, however, be reducing the numbers of passengers taken in our vehicles. 2 passengers in a car (possibly pushing to 3 if family members) and up to 6 passengers in our minibuses. Drivers will ask that all passengers sit in the back of the vehicle.

Face Coverings
Passengers will be asked to follow government guidelines and wear non-surgical face coverings when travelling in our vehicles if they are able to. We understand that, some people may not be able to wear a face covering. For example, young children, people with breathing difficulties and people whose disabilities makes it difficult for them to wear one. For the safety of passengers, drivers will also wear a face covering when passengers are in the vehicle.

Once again, we thank you for your continued support and understanding in these difficult times.
If you have any further queries, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@daviestaxis.co.uk

Any distance, scenic tours, baggage transfers. Contracts, deliveries and collection from railway station or airport to your accommodation. 4, 6 and 8 seater vehicles available.
