By road
From the M6 and Penrith:
The hotel is easily accessible by road from the South and from Scotland to the North. It is 20 miles via the A66 from Penrith and the M6 Motorway, Junction 40.
1. From the M6 motorway take junction 40 and join the roundabout
2. Take the exit marked A66 Keswick and follow signs to Keswick
3. After about 18 miles take left onto the A591 ramp to Keswick/Windermere. Turn right into Keswick at the next junction.
4. Continue along Penrith road for about a mile through traffic lights at the top of a hill onto Victoria St/A5271
5. At the bottom of the hill turn left into Bell Close short stay car park and you will see the Inn on the Square rear entrance and garage.
6. The hotel can be accessed through the garage or by making your way to the Main Street through one of the alleyways up the side of the hotel.
From Ambleside along A591
1. Follow the A591 from Ambleside heading towards Keswick
2. Enter Keswick on Chestnut Hill and head along the road onto Penrith road
3. Continue along Penrith road for about a mile through traffic lights at the top of a hill onto Victoria St/A5271
4. At the bottom of the hill turn left into Bell Close short stay car park and you will see the Inn on the Square rear entrance and garage.
5. The hotel can be accessed through the garage or by making your way to the Main Street through one of the alleyways up the side of the hotel.
By rail
Penrith is the nearest main line station. There are regular bus routes to the centre of Keswick.
