Every Day is an Adventure!

Our outdoor sessions cover everything from GHYLL SCRAMBLING with the chance to jump off waterfalls, slide down water-chutes and dive into plunge pools, to KAYAKING and CANOEING on Derwentwater, ROCK CLIMBING in the Borrowdale valley and HIGH ROPES up in the tree tops of our woodlands.

If you’re brave enough, head up to the 170m ZIPWIRE, which offers amazing views of Helvellyn, Blencathra and Skiddaw as you zip over the fellside. There’s also the chance to enjoy an ADVENTURE DAY with high ropes, zip line, orienteering, archery and indoor climbing. A really busy and exciting day !!

We also have an exciting FIELD ARCHERY course. After a session on traditional archery targets to hone your shooting skills you are led by an Instructor through the woodland around the centre “hunting” our specially made foam creatures. Hares to herons, deer to badgers are all hiding out in the woods and with the changing terrain, weather and undergrowth, tracking your dinner becomes a bit more challenging. See where you end up on the Leader-board as points are awarded depending on what area of the creature you hit. Sessions run daily, you must be 16 years and over to take part and we need a minimum of 2 / maximum of 4. Wellies or boots are essential as you are walking through natural woodland, which can be wet.

Younger kids will love the ROOKERY WOODS ADVENTURE PLAY at Keswick Climbing Wall – designed for little adventurers aged eight and under with zip-wire, archery, climbing, slides, maze, low ropes, orienteering, sheep hunt and more.

The on-site HUNGRY HEIFER CAFE will keep everyone well fed, and dont forget there is free on-site parking too.
