Brackenrigg Barn Cottages are perfect for a holiday in the Lake District. Three lovely cottages in a 19th century converted barn all set within acres of idyllic grounds with paddock, meadow, woodland and gardens and stunning views to Helvellyn and the Dodds range of fells.

The Sett cottage is the largest, and has 2 bedrooms, sleeping 4. One double, and one twin. Open plan living, dinng and kitchen area. Kitchen with hob/oven, microwave, fridgefreezer, slow cooker. Living area with TV, 2 x sofas for comfortable lounging. Large barn style flooor to ceiling windows looking west up the fell side, where you can hopefully spot red squirrels and deer

Bleaberry & Brocklebeck are open plan studio-style cottages for 2. Each with double bed, fully equipped kitchen area, living area with sofas. tub charis and TV. Ensuite bathrooms with shower over the bath. Well equipped, cosy, comfortable and charming for two people. Brocklebeck has an arched barn0style window overlooking the views. 

Brackenrigg Barn Cottages are situated in a prime location in the stunning Naddle Valley, less than 3 miles from Keswick and 10 mins from Grasmere. A rural & quiet place where you can walk the fells and valleys from the door

There are plenty of gardens and grounds around both Brackenrigg Barn Cottages, so plenty of space for children, for finding a quiet spot, or just watching the wildlife...there are badgers, foxes, red deer, a hare, and many red squirrels visiting the gardens and woods regularly, and lots of song birds, and the occasional bird of prey - kestrels, sparrowhawks and buzzards, as well as tawny and barn owls. In the summer you might see house martin's nesting. and in the evening, you might spot the occasional bat too! Open skies mean the stars are stunning, with little light pollution, except from our own outside lights! 

Location

In the very heart of the Lake District, with superb views of the Helvellyn range and Blenacathra, about 3 miles from the delightful market town of Keswick-on-Derwentwater, and a 10 minute drive from Grasmere. The magical ancient stone circle at Castlerigg is about 1.5 miles away, and Thirlmere Lake just a 3 mile walk or cycle. All areas of the National Park are easily accessible from this central location.
