We are pleasantly situated in a quiet location close to the centre of the beautiful market town of Keswick on Derwentwater, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Ferndene is an ideal base for exploring Keswick's many attractions and activities, including the wonderful mountains and lakes surrounding the town, and is conveniently placed to visit the Theatre by the Lake.

Refurbished to a high standard in a modern style, we offer a range of comfortable and tastefully decorated en-suite and standard twin and double rooms with the additional attraction of our top floor Suite with its own comfortable living room. Rooms in the main house offer magnificent mountain views.

From Penrith and M6 jct 40 head west on A66 following signs for Keswick. Take first turning off A66 signposted Keswick and continue toward town centre. Head into town until you see park and river on your right. At top of slight incline turn left at crossroads, with war memorial on your right, then immediately left again into Southey Street, beside Cumbrian Cottages. Continue down Southey Street to see car park at rear of Ferndene on right.

Nearest train station is Penrith, hourly X4, X5, X50 buses alighting at war memorial.
