From Penrith and M6 jct 40 head west on A66 following signs for Keswick. Take first turning off A66 signposted Keswick and continue toward town centre. Head into town until you see park and river on your right. At top of slight incline turn left at crossroads, with war memorial on your right, then immediately left again into Southey Street, beside Cumbrian Cottages. Continue down Southey Street to see car park at rear of Ferndene on right.
Nearest train station is Penrith, hourly X4, X5, X50 buses alighting at war memorial.
