Midsummer Festival 2023

The annual Midsummer Festival, put on by Keswick Town Council for the benefit of the residents of Keswick, is being held this coming weekend (Saturday 24 June and Sunday 25 June) with the now-traditional events of Pop and Prom in the Park on Saturday, and Scruffs, Keswick’s very own dog show on the Sunday, both events to be held in Fitz Park.

Councillor Sally Lansbury, who has been organising the acts performing at the Pop and Prom said “I'm really looking forward to this year's Pop and Prom event. We have something for all age groups and tastes this year, with St Herbert’s School Choir kicking off the day and children's entertainment provided all day by Bee Unique and Keswick scout and guide groups. We kick off at 2pm and from then up until around 9pm there will be lots of brilliant local singer-songwriters and bands. You will have some choral work, some originals and then firm favourites from the pop genre, songs from the shows and onto the opera and the anthemic proms section. Please sing along and get up and dance where appropriate!! Thanks in advance to all the many volunteers who make this possible. This is a free of charge event for our local community so please do come down, eat, drink and be merry together.”

The Pop and Prom will begin at 2pm, and carry on until 9pm, and Scruffs registration is open from 10am, and will finish at 4pm. Both of these events are free to attend.

There will be refreshments available at both Café West and Café HNW in Fitz Park, as well as a mobile cocktail vendor, ‘Hello Dandy’, so please support the artists, doggies and businesses based in Fitz Park.
