Lingholm Estate
If you are looking for a unique and memorable wedding day, Lingholm provides the ideal venue. Situated on the shore of Derwentwater, you and your wedding party have full access to the grounds and lakeshore providing the perfect backdrop for your big day. We have a choice of three rooms available within Lingholm House, a Grade Two listed Victorian mansion and can cater for weddings of up to 90 guests in our largest function room – The Stone Room. For smaller weddings we have the dining room which has oak panelling and a ornate fireplace dating back to the 1500’s.
If you are looking for a larger wedding we can host the ceremony in the Stone Room and the reception in the grounds of the estate in either a tipi or marquee. Wedding parties are required to book at a minimum the apartments within Lingholm House, sleeping up to 24 guests, this is to give you the ultimate exclusivity on your big day. An additional five cottages can be booked to sleep an extra 42 on the estate.
We can to tailor our service to suit individual needs because we know everybody has different ideas and requirements. We provide the space and setting for your big day and you can add the detail to make your wedding unique to you. We can help by providing a list of suppliers.
