Go Ape Whinlatter
Welcome to England's only true mountain forest. Whinlatter boasts unrivalled views across Bassenthwaite Lake, Derwentwater and Keswick. Located in the North West of the Lake District, you'll find us in the heart of it. It plays host to two of our high ropes activities, built in 2022, as well as our all-terrain Forest Segway experience. The latter includes dramatic views across this unique landscape. If you're looking for an action-packed day out in Cumbria, Whinlatter comes 'highly' recommended. With fantastic walks, exhilarating mountain biking, rare wildlife and adventure play to boot.
TREETOP ADVENTURE
Treetop Adventure is an adrenaline-filled, hour-long high ropes activity aimed at younger children. It has intricate tree-to-tree crossings, wobbly bridges and brilliant zip wires for kids, all designed for young adventurers over 1m tall. Kids and parents love Treetop Adventure as it pushes children outside of their comfort zone in a safe environment. The continuous belay system means that participants are always attached to the safety wires. Children under 6 need to be supervised by an adult on our high ropes course. For children over 6, parents can decide to supervise/cheer from the forest floor or high up in the treetops.
TREETOP ADVENTURE PLUS
Treetop Adventure Plus is all about the 'more'. More speed, air, freedom, height, and thrills for young adventurers. It's a step up and extension to our popular Treetop Adventure high ropes course, so children need to be at least 1.2m to participate. Participants will have full access to the Adventure loops of the course to find their feet, hone their skills and have fun. When they feel ready, it's time to hit the heights of Adventure Plus and the additional loop. The extra loop goes further into the treetops, with more challenging crossings. This turns up the adventure and the fun, finishing with their biggest zip-wire ride of the day back to the ground.
FOREST SEGWAY
Cruise and explore the forest floor. Jump on board one of our all-terrain Forest Segways for an hour long totally unique adventure.
Join us if you're...Over 7 stone/45kg. Age 10 or over [you must still be over 7 stone/45kg]. Under 19.5 stone/125kg.
What about supervision? Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult 18+. An adult can supervise up to three under 16s.

From Keswick, take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow the Visitor Centre sign posts. Please allow plenty of time for your journey.
