Amble House

A warm welcome awaits you at Amble House which is conveniently located in a quiet street within a 5 minute walk of Keswick town centre. Derwentwater and surrounding fells including Skiddaw, Walla crag and Catbells are all nearby and within walking distance.

Graham and Jacqui offer a high level of personal service with superb cleanliness, relaxed hospitality, delightful rooms and delicious food

We have 5 en suite bedrooms. All en suites have a washbasin, shower, WC and complimentary toiletries and are fitted with filtered water drinking taps.

Each bedroom is tastefully decorated and maintained to an excellent standard with comfortable beds, free WiFi,  Flat screen TVs, hairdryers, radio alarm clocks and well stocked hospitality trays with biscuits and a good selection of teas, instant and fresh coffees including Fairtrade products.

Choose your breakfast from our extensive menu: a Full Cumbrian breakfast with locally sourced ingredients for the hearty appetite; or a wide variety of alternatives and vegetarian options; as well as homemade white and wholemeal bread, home made muesli and granola and locally sourced jams.   

Packed lunches are available upon request 

Flasks filled free of charge

Walkers and cyclists welcome. Cycle storage/ drying room facilities  available upon request and we have a good range of local maps.

Minimum stay 2 nights or 3/4 nights over a Bank Holiday or Festival

No smoking and no vaping allowed anywhere on the premises.

Sorry we do not  allow pets although we do have our own friendly little Border Terrier - Tilly

Leave M6 at Junction 40

Follow A66 signposted Keswick and Workington

After approx 18 miles take slip road to Keswick

Turn right at T junction towards town centre

At 5th turning on the left, turn onto Greta street and continue straight ahead to Eskin street

Amble house is on the right.
