You can book yourself in for a full or half spa day with treatments, or spend your time in the spa with a hot drink, making use of the sauna, hydrotherapy pool, and other amenities.

Keswick Brewery

This small craft brewery was set up in 2006 and has come on in leaps and bounds since. You can expect quality with every beer from Keswick Brewery, but that’s not the only trick up its sleeve! You can take a tour of Keswick Brewery, where you’ll find out all about how they brew their tasty beers and you can even sample them, too! This is a wonderful option for an indoor day out in Keswick.

The Puzzling Place

If you’ve done even a tiny bit of research on Keswick, The Puzzling Place will have come to your attention! This is a curious shop and puzzle area, featuring the renowned World of Illusions exhibition.

You won’t believe your eyes in this exhibition, where you’ll find an anti-gravity room, an Ames forced perspective room, a hologram gallery, and the Eyelusions exhibition. Great for kids - and the bigger kids, too! - The Puzzling Place is a true gem in Keswick, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Honister Slate Mine

Located at Fleetwith Pike, Honister Slate Mine is now the only working slate mine in England. There are a great many activities and adventure options available to visitors of Honister Slate Mine, making it one of Keswick’s must-visit locations.

You can take an underground tour of the mine where you’ll learn about the mine’s 450-million-year-old volcanic green slate, or you can even climb the mine in a wholly weather-proof experience! 

Keswick Cookery School

Have you got a prowess for cooking? Or want to improve? Sat just on the edge of Keswick, Keswick Cookery School puts on monthly cookery classes, aimed at varied abilities. From a meat masterclass to autumn spice cooking and dim sum Asian cooking, you’ll find a whole host of cookery classes being put on throughout the year. 

Mirehouse and Gardens

Culture vultures will delight in Mirehouse and Gardens, a gorgeous historic building with beautifully furnished and decorated rooms. Inside you’ll find a great many delights, such as letters from Wordsworth, Tennyson, Southey, Thomas Carlisle, and John Constable. Keswick Alhambra Cinema

Keswick Alhambra Cinema is a historic picture house which was built in 1913, which means it has been in operation for over 100 years! From classic to contemporary, you’ll find all manner of films being screened here, as well as many other delights, including National Theatre Live plays. At this cinema, you’ll get free tea and filter coffee, as well as very reasonably priced snacks and cold and alcoholic drinks, too.
