New Afternoon Tea Menu at Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa

If you want a classic afternoon tea with stunning views, the four-star Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa is the one for you. Just off the shores of Derwentwater, Lodore Falls have just launched a new Afternoon Tea menu, providing the perfect excuse to get away from all of the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a spot of pure indulgence.

According to OpenTable, bookings for afternoon tea have increased by 54% over the past two years, and it has been found that 20% of the UK population now expect afternoon tea to be a standard offering on the menu.

Lodore Falls Executive Chef, Mark Harris has worked closely with the hotels new French pastry chef to ensure that their new offering features all the traditional savories’, such as dainty finger sandwiches, golden puff pastry sausage rolls, and homemade scones, while the sweet treats have a French spin on the British tradition of Afternoon Tea, including mini citrus tarts, hazelnut choux buns, chocolate & bergamot ganache and more.

Matt Collins, General Manager commented, “After our £13m redevelopment, which introduced our pan-Asian restaurant Mizu, 18 new spa suites and The Falls Spa, we wanted to make our afternoon tea offering as opulent as the hotel. Our spa day packages are proving very popular and include either lunch in Mizu or afternoon tea in the lounges, so it was important for us to be able to offer a luxury afternoon tea to complete our guests experience.”
