Covid 19 Update 

 For those of you who have followed 'The Pantry @ Kat's', we now have a separate FB page, please follow one or both of the below for updates and orders. Our Kat's Kitchen Page will now focus again on content for the café. https://www.facebook.com/Vegan-Pantry-UK-103736924723108

Kat's Kitchen will open 6 days a week - closed Tuesdays from Saturday 4th July - Mon-Sat (not Tue) 9-5, last orders 4.45 pm and Sunday 10-4, last orders 3.45 pm. Please ONLY refer to FB or Instagram for café hours - there are so many apps (TripAdvisor, Google, Happycow, Slurp, etc) it's a fulltime job updating them! FB & Insta will be updated with our hours as fast as they change.

No inside tables, a maximum of 3 households or 6 people in the café at any time - in line with social distancing rules. Please be tolerant if you are asked to wait outside as we have very little space inside.

All food will be served in takeaway containers, compostable of course, with takeaway cutlery. The kitchen is so small we are unable to socially distance so we are unable to have a person washing dishes. For now, we will not be able to fill your own lunchbox containers for takeaway food, however we will be able to refill your own cup so long as it is clean and the lid is removed - we will not be able to fill water bottles as this will mean handling them. (For the pantry, we can but will need 24 hours between drop off and collection as they will need to be cleaned via our dishwasher after the café is closed).

For the same reason, we are unable to offer Gluten Free foods - with only one chef working and a limited menu, it will be nearly impossible for us to offer GF products with confidence. This may apply to other allergens, although we use very few others in our kitchen but ALWAYS let our staff know if you have an allergy as occasionally nuts are used in dishes/cakes.

6. Our menu will be reduced but as diverse as practicable for the time being. Menu's will be posted in our windows and on our FB/Insta pages. With only 1 chef able to be in the kitchen - we can only do so much prep/bake sweet goods.

Whilst it has not been made compulsory - our staff have agreed to wear masks when dealing with food/drinks but will not wear them at all times. Example whilst making a coffee they will wear a mask - but at the cash register (behind a perspex screen) they will not. This is to aid customer confidence and staff safety and health. If you need to lipread - please indicate this and masks will be lowered whilst your order is taken.

Vegetarian and vegan cafe offering home-made meals, cakes, smoothies and Fair Trade tea and coffee, gluten free options available. Bicycle parking, children and dog friendly.
