Details

In 1818 John Keats and his friend Charles Brown walked from Lancaster to Scotland and the home of Robbie Burns. On the way they hoped to meet Wordsworth and stayed at various inns in The lake District. This Pop-up Theatre event - a play lasting 20 minutes - marks Keats' and Brown's last night in Westmorland at The Royal Oak Inn. The play was first performed very successfully at The Kings Arms in Burton in Kendal in June. The play features five costumed actors who simply arrive at the venue and re-enact the imagined conversation of Keats and Brown, reflecting their feelings and events at the time. It's funny, informative and entertaining! Keats was 22 years old; he died at the age of 26.

The re-enactment will be at 8.00 p.m. on September 20th
