Details

The film is set in 1936, at the time of the British Mandate in Palestine and indeed, a pivotal moment for the British Empire. As villages revolt aginst British Colonial rule, Yusuf navigates between Jerusalem and his rural home amidst escalating unrest.

Palestine 36 won the best film award at the Tokyo Film Festival and features Jeremy Irons as the High Commissioner. It is currently scoring 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
