An evening featuring 7 acclaimed and wawrd-wiing Indian single malts, paired with a thoughfully curated three-course culinary experience.

In 2023, the inaugural tasting at Ivy House in Braithwaite surprised and delighted local guests, many of whom described it as one of the most eyeopening spirits events they had attended. The recall from that evening has been so strong that local residents George and Meera, respected figures in the region’s culinary community, personally reached out to SMAC India to recreate the experience for 2026. Their enthusiasm reflects the deep cultural curiosity that the first showcase sparked — and their belief that the Lake District deserves to host this unique exchange once again.

This year’s edition features pairing world-class Indian whiskies with the Lake District’s celebrated hospitality. Guests will have the opportunity to discover a selection of India’s most exciting whiskies — from established award-winners to emerging craft expressions — showcased in a guided format that blends education, storytelling and sensory exploration. Paul John, Amrut, Rampur and Godawan are the award winning brands that are a part of the India Unbound campaign members.
