'How to Draw' with Lyn Evans
Drawing is a skill that can be taught to anyone. You need very little to begin — just a few simple tools, a comfortable place to sit, and a time and opportunity to properly focus.
For painters, drawing is a vital foundation. I look forward to sharing techniques that will help your drawings come to life while deepening your understanding of value, composition, and perspective, all of which are essential to creating strong, confident artwork.
Each session begins with a brief demonstration, followed by time to practice. We’ll start with accessible subjects such as a small landscape, an apple, or a flower, and explore different materials — from pens and sticks to biros. Later in the course, we’ll also work with charcoal to expand your range of mark-making.
