Take A66 to Keswick. Arriving in Keswick drive on the B5289 signposted Borrowdale valley and Rosthwaite. Drive on this road for approximately 10 miles. Honister Slate Mine is situated at the top of the pass on the left.

Join us underground for an eerie, lantern-lit storytelling experience inside England’s last working slate mine – where haunting legends and tales of lives lost echo through the mountain.

Led by your spooky guide, you’ll venture deep into the tunnels carved by generations of miners, hearing chilling stories inspired by local history, mystery and the people who never made it home.

Running from 22nd Oct to 1st Nov only, this immersive walking tour through the ancient mine brings Honister’s haunted past to life through storytelling.
