New for our programme of creative classes, a chance to learn some sewing techniques with a takeaway creation to enhance your home. In this hands-on two day course with Ashlea, you will design and create your own Roman Blind. You will learn the basic methods of pattern placement, measuring, sewing techniques and calculations for blind slots as well as the best materials to use for the job. In the class you will make a blind at a maximum size of 105 cms wide and 1 metre long, so if you have a window which will fit these measurements, please measure up and bring along a fabric of your choice to do so - a medium weight linen fabric is ideal. If anyone needs advice on measuring, please contact us on [email protected] and Ashlea will be delighted to help.
Ashlea will provide blind tracks, rods, weight bars, rings, velcro and lining, all of which is included in the price. All you need to bring is your own material (minimum 1.5 metres) and your sewing kit.
Ashea has studied and worked within the design industry since 2005. Ashle has a strong knowledge of interiors and design, priding herself on producing high quality hand sewn soft furnishing.
