In this workshop you will be creating a unique and personal lino cut of a property that is special to you, be it your home, a holiday venue or a favourite building - from sheds to castles! We will be printing onto high quality paper and you be using both water based and oil based inks. This will allow you to hand colour your prints.
We will begin by discussing the design process. Julia will have examples of her own plates and prints of buildings, as well as commissions that she has undertaken. To create an effective design you will be using photographs of your chosen building that you should bring on the day.
You will learn how to design and transfer your image, cut and print your plate and then hand colour it. If you choose a long building please take several 'face on' photographs that we can stitch together on the day.
You will be making 3 prints from your plate with more paper being available on the day should you wish to make more. Additional paper available at £1-2.50 per sheet depending on size.
