From Keswick: Take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow Visitor Centre Sign Posts.

A brand-new flagship walking trail opens at Whinlatter at the end of March! You could be one of the very first people to walk it!
The Wow trail is a 4.5-mile walking trail that really showcases all we have to offer in our mountain forest. You can expect fantastic views, stunning surroundings, a chance to spot the wildlife of Whinlatter in our new wildlife hide, time to pause, reflect, and reset in our new wellbeing area and of course be wowed at our new viewpoint!
Enjoy coffee and pastries in Café Ambio before our experienced, knowledgeable Ranger leads you around this amazing trail. You’ll learn facts about the forest and hear stories that make Whinlatter such a special place.
After, we’ve wowed you on the walking trail we’ll return to Café Ambio for a scrumptious afternoon tea to finish the day.
This exclusive experience starts at 9.30am and is expected to last until approximately 2.30pm. If you’d like to join us, make sure to book you place with our friendly team in the Visitor Centre. Spaces are limited.
