Threlkeld is located off the A66 in Cumbria, 4 miles west of Keswick and 13 miles east of Penrith. From Penrith, junction 40 on the M6, follow signs to Keswick and after 13 miles turn right into Threlkeld Village. Do not follow your Sat Nav after this point - the Village Hall is located 0.5 mile along on the left hand side. From Keswick follow signs to Penrith and after 4 miles take the first left signposted Threlkeld. The Village Hall is 0.5 mile along on the right hand side.
Formed in 2021 as the national pandemic was slowly declining, the new North Lakes Brass band meets the needs of experienced Cumbrian musicians who wish to enjoy the challenges of performing in contests and high quality concerts. After the North of England Brass Band Championships held March 2022 where the band was placed a magnificent 2nd they were invited to compete in the National Brass Band Championship of Great Britain, where they were described as “…delivering performances of note that captured both the lyrical and pop-beat nature of the music to a tee, with super contributions from their percussion team." They also came third at the Kirkby Lonsdale Entertainment Contest.
Join them for an evening of quality and entertaining brass band music that will have your foot tapping, face smiling and hands clapping.
