From Keswick: Take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow Visitor Centre Sign Posts.
If you’re limited for time or unsure if a full day workshop is for you, why not join photographer Steve Blake on a half day workshop at Whinlatter Forest? This beautiful woodland environment is a perfect setting in which to ‘dip your toe’ into the world of landscape photography.
After introductions we’ll go out onto the forest and visit a series of nearby locations to explore different elements and techniques of landscape photography. You'll have opportunities to look at composition, exposure, exploring the relationship between ISO, shutter speed and aperture settings, getting to grips with your histogram and a host of other quick tips and techniques to whet your appetite to dig further into landscape photography. You'll then return to the centre where we’ll review the session and address any outstanding questions.
These two hour workshops are suitable for all the family (children under 16yrs must be accompanied).
Refreshments are not provided as part of the workshop. You are welcome to bring your own or better still, use the on-site Siskins café where you’ll get a great choice of food and drinks in a wonderful and relaxing forest environment.
