Take A66 to Keswick. Arriving in Keswick drive on the B5289 signposted Borrowdale valley and Rosthwaite. Drive on this road for approximately 10 miles. Honister Slate Mine is situated at the top of the pass on the left.

Journey into the labyrinth of mines deep inside Fleetwith Pike for an afternoon scare fest! This half term we've teamed up with Honister Slate to show a collection of the scariest horror films ever seen on screen… The Woman In Black, The Conjuring, Sinister and The Shining… underground… in the dark!
The event will take place in a mine cavern equivalent to being outside in 10 degrees and below, so bring your blankets, hot water bottles and dress warmly. You will be required to wear a hard hat inside the mine; bobble free hats will sit under these. Basic seating will be available - but please bring your own camping chair if you wish.
There will be onsite catering serving hot food at the base for pre film dining and a bar with a selection of hot, and cold and alcoholic drinks.
In the Conjuring, set in 1971, Carolyn and Roger Perron move their family into a dilapidated Rhode Island farm house and strange things start happening, with escalating nightmarish terror.
