Details

Cumbrian theatre company Ragged Edge are glad to be back at Threlkeld Village Hall after the enormous success they had with their award-winning “The Chef Show” which was a sell-out at Threlkeld and won the Cumbria Life Culture Award for Live Performance of the Year 2019 and NRTF Rural Touring Award for Best Stage Performance 2018.

On 26th November they will be performing their latest offering - A comic radio play presented live on stage with the assistance of the audience. Set in an American Wild West town in 1870, a travelling English Theatre company are performing scenes from Shakespeare when lone gunslinger “The Wanderer” comes up against the “Garlic Gang”. When the gunsmoke clears, Mrs Speakwell lies dead. But who killed the English actress?

Sounds crazy? Yes, probably! This daft and entertaining show gives the audience the chance to make the sound effects and take part in scenes as they are recorded in a special edition of the play. There’s a part for everyone in… “The Mystery of the Blue Moon Saloon”.

Audiences have said : "Some of the worst American accents I have ever heard.”  “I knew nothing about this fascinating episode in the history of the American Wild West - and I still don’t.” … “Whodunnit?  Who cares!” … “Well, the audience were great.”  It will be an entertaining evening for all. (Suitable for ages 10+).

Devised and performed by Stefan Escreet, Peter Macqueen and Claire Webzell.
