In September and October 2022 Keswick plays homage to Noël Coward's Brief Encounter.
On 3rd and 4th October at 5.00pm you can see David Lean's classic 1945 film of Brief Encounter, starring Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard (book tickets at keswickalhambra.co.uk)
After the film then head down to Theatre By The Lake where at 7.30pm you can hear Celia Johnson's daughter, Lucy Fleming, together with Simon Williams reading extracts from the wartime letters between her mother and her explorer and writer father Peter Fleming in an event "Brief Encounter - Posting Letters to the Moon" in the Studio Theatre.(book tickets at www.theatrebythelake.com)
