An unmissable evening with the UK Poet Laureate in the heart of the Lake District.

Simon Armitage returns to Grasmere to read from a selection of his most-loved work. His streetwise humour, inventive use of conversational speech and eye for the extraordinary in the ordinary will make this evening an unforgettable experience.

The event will take place in The Daffodil Hotel, with stunning views of the lake and surrounding fells – and only a stone’s throw away from Dove Cottage, where former Poet Laureate William Wordsworth wrote some of his greatest poetry.

There will be a book signing after the reading, with copies of Simon Armitage’s books available to purchase (please bring cash)
