Details

Brought to you by the National Trust for Heritage Open Days, join a guided walk with ranger Morwenna who has been surveying these ancient trees.

There are many ancient ash trees in Borrowdale, many of which are pollards. This is a traditional coppicing technique that harvests timber without killing the tree and gives them a very characteristic look. Come and learn more about them while taking in the views at Borrowdale.
