Price Notes

Cost: £3.50 per child per session, no charge for under 3s. No booking required, please drop in and pay on the day. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (no charge for accompanying adults).

From Keswick: Take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow Visitor Centre Sign Posts.

Take a leaf out of the forest book - where in the world have our trees come from?

Use the beautiful leaves you have collected to make a forest book-mark.

Food from the Forest Walk

Kill or cure – find out more about how the plants in the forest were used in the past, then have fun squashing out plant dye to make a colourful wall hanging.

Squirrel Run

Follow the rangers on their round to fill the squirrel feeders and find out more about these fascinating creatures before making your own pinecone squirrel to take home.

‘Flying through the Forest’ Walk
