Just 8 mins west of M6 J40, off the A66 towards Keswick.

Create your own gorgeous needle felted Herdwick sheep using soft blended wool, with Annis McGowan.

Create your own unique and characterful heavy Herdwick doorstop, weighing around 3.5kg and measuring 38cm long, using all quality wools including that of the local Cumbrian Herdwick sheep... although this piece heavy enough to hold back a door, most their proud makers allow them to be admired on tables and shelves! .

A full day workshop ideal for beginners or those with experience learning inspiring needle felting techniques. Needle felting is the locking the wool fibres together through repeat stabbing with barbed needles, it sounds complicated but can easily be learned and some beautiful pieces can be created in this way.

Please note that this workshop will take place in a first floor studio up a flight of stairs.
