We bring you a matinee of a hilarious take on Twelfth Night and a farfetched folklore from the northern Lake District.
Written & Performed by Tim Crouch
2pm – 3.10pm
I, Malvolio re-imagines Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night from the point of view of its most notoriously abused steward. It’s a charged, hilarious and sometimes unsettling rant from a man adrift in front of a cruel audience. Part abject clown, part theatre-hating disciplinarian, Malvolio asks his audience to explore the pleasure we take in other people’s suffering.

Written and Performed by Steve Wharton

Cumbrian storyteller Steve Wharton weaves poems and songs through two traditional tales about a brave bishop visiting Lakeland and a boy who caught all the fish in Bassenthwaite Lake for his sister’s wedding… and then had to face the consequences!
