Direction

From Keswick: Take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow Visitor Centre Sign Posts.

Details

Join Jo from JAG Outdoors to learn skills like setting a map, map types, symbols, basic navigation on simple routes, getting lost and basic route planning. You will also cover weather and safety on the hills.
The day will be friendly and informal, with topics paced to match the group. The day is focussed on learning skills rather than lots of walking. The day starts with an indoor session and a coffee.

This course is delivered over two session 15 & 29 September 1.15pm - 4.30pm both dates. 

Wear clothes suitable for being outside, all equipment is supplied
