From Keswick: Take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow Visitor Centre Sign Posts.

Details

A basic navigation course. The course is open to anyone over 14, and suitable for anyone new to navigation or wanting a refresher of the basics. The friendly instructors will help you look at how to use maps, how to plan a route and easy tricks and tips for navigating as well as basic safety and weather.
The course will start with a coffee (included) and introductions, as well as a theory session. We will then do some skills work before heading off to do some practice.
We work in a very open learning style, we try to accommodate all types of learners and want to make it a fun and enjoyable experience. Ask loads of questions, help each other, find what works for you!
You will be walking for up to 4 hours.
