Fancy a 10k trail run or Nordic walk through the beautiful Whinlatter Forest near Keswick in the Lake District on a Summer’s evening? Whinlatter 10k is run on the designated mountain bike/walkers trails in the forest which vary from wide stony paths to winding singletrack through the trees, climbing to reach Seat How, giving stunning views across Bassenthwaite and Keswick beyond. Whinlatter 10k takes place within the boundaries of Whinlatter Forest. Whinlatter has unrivalled views across Bassenthwaite Lake, Derwentwater and Keswick and is home to a host of wildlife, from red squirrels to the Bassenthwaite ospreys who nest near the forest from April to August.
