To meet Julie Carter and hear about her achievements, join us and Julie for an 'Evening in Abraham's' on Friday 13th December.

THE ART OF ADVENTURE
Keswick fellrunner and climber Julie Carter does not stand still for long - since the success of her books, 'Running the Red Line' and 'Is It Serious?' in 2018 Julie has continued to use her adventures as inspiration for her writing. This year she became the first woman to complete an extended Bob Graham round of 55 peaks at the age of 55. Join Julie at the Abraham's café for new stories, poems, pictures and music which explore the common impulse shared by art, adventure and sport. She will also explain how poetry can make you run faster as well as give some unique insights into special spots in the Northern fells.

Julie Carter, doctor and psychologist, is a veteran British and English fell running champion and a poetic writer.

Tickets are £10 with all money going to Derwent Hill as suggested by Julie and supported wholeheartedly by us :-)
