Gitarrissima is an international ensemble of five young female guitarists who have been enchanting audiences with their sensitive musical interplay and technical virtuosity. With an unusual line-up – an octave guitar, three concert guitars and an acoustic bass guitar – and imaginative arrangements, the quintet promises a brilliant evening of unique classical guitar music. The programme includes original arrangements of works by Bizet (Carmen), Tchaikovsky (Swan Lake and Nutcracker), Copland, Shostakovich and others.
