Take A66 to Keswick. Arriving in Keswick drive on the B5289 signposted Borrowdale valley and Rosthwaite. Drive on this road for approximately 10 miles. Honister Slate Mine is situated at the top of the pass on the left.
A new upcoming event being brought to you by a local, family run business working together with Keswick based company ‘KONG running’ to bring a king/queen of the hill bike race, and a Fell race like no other followed by a showcase of local musicians and Cumbrian food.
‘HonisterFest’ is all about the social side of getting outdoors with a chilled party atmosphere for all the family to enjoy the mountain experience.
There will be local beers, food stalls and live bands playing into the long summer evening
