A botanically themed canvas of 'Paint, Print and Stitch' with Kay Leech
A lovely day with Kay being guided through the process of 'creating' using paint, then print, and then stitch. Working in mixed media you will create a picture based on flowers or trees. You can bring your own image or use one of the ones provided for inspiration.
You will paint the background directly onto calico and then add layers with simple stencils and print blocks that you have created. Finally, you will add stitch which can be machine and or hand embroidery and embellish with beads and buttons.
The finished piece will be 30cmx30cm which will fit into a standard 40cmx40cm frame. Kay's work centres on textured pieces using paint, print and collage coupled with hand and machine embroidery with stitch on textiles.
