.To begin under Sonja's guidance and working on simple boards you will learn the various techniques of using chalk paints including distressing and waxing techniques that will be explained, shown and practised. Students can then work on their own items, perhaps a stool, a chair or frame, small table. Usually we say something you can carry along the road- if you wish to bring something larger it's fine to drop it off in the driveway on your way to the car park. Do bear in mind that it's possible you may not finish the item in the day. If you use an awful lot of paint, there may be a small charge. Sonja also brings a variety of stencils etc with her - or bring your own. The brilliant thing about Chalk Paint is you don't need to do much before painting- no sanding or preparation - all painting, creating and transforming.
