Walkers' Rest

Walkers’ Rest is a modern town house located in a quiet cul-de-sac just beyond Fitz Park.  It is an easy, short walk through the park between the bowling greens and grass tennis courts to Keswick’s town centre. The quiet, private back garden runs up to the old railway line footpath which is a natural habitat for red squirrels and a variety of birds.  

 
Recently under new ownership the house has been redecorated and refurbished for the 2012 season.  Guests will find a stylish, contemporary house which is bright, crisp and immaculately clean.   Every effort has been made to provide holidaymakers with a thoughtfully equipped holiday property so that they can relax and fully enjoy their stay in this beautiful area. 

Walkers’ Rest has full double glazing and central heating by an Airflow System so it is warm and cosy at any time of the year.  It has a spacious lounge/dining room with an attractive mineral stone fireplace surrounding a gas fire, digital TV with DVD/CD player.  Access to the back garden is through the patio doors beyond the dining area.

The kitchen has been fitted with modern white fronted units and is very well equipped with electric oven,  hob, microwave, washing machine/tumble drier, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer.

Bedrooms - a double, a single & a twin room.   All beds have continental quilts and linen is provided free of charge.  Please bring your own towels (arrangements can be made for towels to be provided for overseas guests or if you are using public transport).

Bathroom with toilet washbasin and bath with electric shower.

A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request.

Travelling west towards Keswick from Penrith on the A66 take the first turning left signed to Keswick.  Turn right at the junction with the A591 from Ambleside and head downhill past the Twa Dogs public house and continue on until you see the cenotaph on the right just before some pedestrian lights.  Turn right here along the side of the cenotaph and the road continues past the old Museum and bends right skirting the grounds of the Keswick Hotel.  The road bends left and Brundholme Gardens is the small group of houses to the right just before the old railway bridge.  As you turn right into the cul-de-sac Walkers’ Rest is the second house on the left hand side.
