Jemmima Puddle Duck's Cottage
This is a delightful 2 bedroomed cottage for 4 - 5 situated down a cobbled lane which leads to the stream. Visitors can feed friendly farm animals which call for tit bits at the back door and watch the ducks waddle by to the farmyard.

Rebecca Puddle Duck's cottage
Unusual reverse style accommodation for 2 - 3 with chunky beams and Skiddaw mountain views, overlooking the farmyard.

Both cottages are near the stream where many hours can be spent catching minnows or building dams and playing “Pooh Sticks” Why not take a country walk and try to spot local red squirrels, buzzards and deers or visit the nearby famous osprey viewpoint or Trotters animal park? Here on the farm in the Spring we have baby calves, ducklings hatching, and pet lambs to feed on bottles.  , “Foxy” the horse to feed an apple or carrot, the wonderful “Puddle-ducks” waddling in and out or swimming on the stream ,(Egg collecting inthe mornings) and our mixture of hens and chickens nesting and exploring all over the farmyard and producing . A real “Old Mac Donalds's Farm” and a much slower pace of life . A lovely place to potter around, have gentle walks or for the more activ e and enthusiastic majestic Skiddaw mountain is just behind us, and we are in reach of a host more activities, and walks.

Location

Both cottages are situated in the courtyard of Bassenthwaite Hall Farm in Bassenthwaite Village near the picturesque stream where ducks swim merrily all day. The market towns of Keswick and Cockermouth are 15 mins by car and both Skiddaw mountain and Bassenthwaite Lake are 2 miles away.
