Magnificent Views of Derwentwater from Upper and Lower House

Enjoy the spectacular views of Derwentwater, Borrowdale, the north-western fells and Latrigg from Upper House and Lower House which together form a bigger property called Lords Seat. The view from these two properties is outstanding - one of those "WOW" views!

The properties, for 6 and 4 people respectively, are peacefully located in Applethwaite village, which nestles at the foot of Skiddaw just over one mile from Keswick. Both have a coal-burning stove.
The first photo shows the garden for Upper House and Lower House. The second photo, looking down to Derwentwater, is just part of their view. The third photo shows the beamed, galleried lounge at Upper House and the fourth is the kitchen at Upper House. The fifth photo is the lounge at Lower House and the sixth is the view to Applethwaite with Skiddaw behind from Croft House.  

Upper House and Lower House are two of the four properties at Croft House Holidays - the others are Croftside - a cottage for 4 people and Croft Corner - a ground floor apartment for 2 people. These are located at Croft House, a Victorian country house on the edge of Applethwaite, and also have magnificent views. All four properties have wifi, offer fell walks from the door, short breaks and are open all year. There are three restaurants in walking distance and all the facilities of Keswick nearby.
 

Location

From A66 roundabout on the northern edge of Keswick take A591 signed to Carlisle. After 0.5 mile turn right into a lane which has a signpost saying “Applethwaite and Skiddaw”. Croft House is in front of you on the bend in the lane. Penrith is the nearest train station with a bus service or taxi to Keswick.
