Comb Beck is a cosy Lakeland cottage, in a truly tranquil setting.
It has been tastefully renovated and refurbished, with more refurbishment sceduled over the winter of 2011/12.
The cottage has a woodburning stove in the lounge, underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom, and central heating throughout.
There are two bedrooms; one double and one twin.
Comb Beck has a terraced garden, which leads down to the beck.
The garden has a lockable shed suitable for bicycle storage.
There are superb walks and/or cycles straight from the cottage door to Whinlatter Forest and the fells beyond.
Whinlatter Forest has 'The Altura Trail' and 'The Quercus Trail' for mountain biking. They are the only purpose built mountain bike trails in the Lake District.
The forest also boasts a 'Go Ape' high wire forest adventure course.
The cottage and garden have views of Whinlatter Forest and Skiddaw.
Comb Beck is cleaned and maintained by the owners.
Location
Nestled into the lower slopes of the Whinlatter Forest, Comb Beck is situated in the 'Seldom Seen' ravine, on a single track no-through road.
Red Squirrels and Deer may be spotted in the garden, and forest beyond.
The Ospreys nest about a mile away from the cottage.
A truly tranquill setting, but only 3 miles from Keswick and all its amenities.
