Keswick-self-catering-holiday-cottage. MUDDY BOOTS & BIKES WELCOME. 17th Century Grade II listed Lakeland cottage circa.1681. Situated 7 miles Keswick with views straight onto Sharp Edge (Blencathra) and Souther Fell & 10 miles Penrith this cottage is handy for all the Northern Lake District. 

Sleeps 2-4 people. Completely internally refurbished. 2 bedrooms, new kitchen and shower room, all furnishings new. Inglenook fireplace, new woodburner, beams. All electric, heating & linen included even included your logs for the woodburner.  Cycle store, patio garden, boot & drying room & private parking for 2 cars.

TV with freeview, DVD player & CD/Radio.  Also Hairdryer & travel cot.  Iron & Ironing board.

There are 3 country pubs within 2 miles of cottage all serving local produce & ale. Nearest pub 1.4 miles White Horse Scales, recentley renovated & refurbished. Mill Inn, Mungrisedale 2 miles & Troutbeck Inn 1 & Three quarter miles.

The owner has walked all 214 Wainwright Fells & has extensive knowledge, to share. Walking books & maps free lending service. Many Lakeland books in cottage.

Some provisions can be booked for your arrival with prior arrangement. Or Tesco will deliver to the cottage if you go on line before your arrival & order from home.

Dogs are allowed, up to 2, at a charge of £15 per dog per week with the owners prior consen

Please note one beam in cottage has head clearance of 5'10”, porch doorway at rear is approx 5' 7”.

Location

From Junction 40, Penrith take the A66 for Keswick. After approx 9 miles you will come to a crossroads take the left turn for Wallwaite. After half a mile Blencathra cottage is on the left hand side.
